About Us
Who We Are
MD Air Conditioning and Heating is a locally owned and operated HVAC contractor serving the Northshore and metro New Orleans since 1984. From our shop in Lacombe, we provide residential and commercial heating, cooling, and indoor air quality service to families and businesses throughout this region.
We are a family-owned and family-operated company. Owners Dustin Mehojevich and Michael Mehojevich live and work in the community we serve. That local ownership is the foundation of the company: accountable service, clear communication, and work we expect to stand behind for years.
MD Air Conditioning and Heating holds Louisiana Mechanical HVAC license #79379 for residential and commercial work. Our technicians are NATE certified. The company is licensed, bonded, and insured.
Our Story
MD Air Conditioning and Heating was founded in 1984 as a local mechanical contracting company. More than four decades later, it remains family owned and operated — not a franchise, not a call-center dispatch service, and not a contractor that turns completed jobs over to subcontractors. The same family that built the company still directs the work.
Our service area asks a great deal of heating and cooling equipment. Long cooling seasons, high humidity, attic heat, and coastal weather place real demand on systems in homes and light-commercial buildings. Because we are based here, that climate is familiar work. We diagnose, repair, maintain, and install systems for the conditions of the Northshore and greater New Orleans — not for a generic market.
That local standard carries through the job. Appointments are scheduled and tracked in our service system so the office and the technician are working from the same information. Customers receive a clear diagnosis, straightforward options, and a price before work begins. When MD Air Conditioning and Heating performs an installation, we honor our workmanship for ten years.

How We Work
When you call, we get the basics first: what the system is doing, how old it is, and whether anyone in the building is without cooling or heat. Then we schedule a technician who works for this company. On-site, we diagnose the issue, show you what we found, and give you a clear path—repair it, maintain it, or replace it—with no-pressure guidance.
If the right next step is a new system, we size it to the house or building and install Trane, Goodman, or Amana equipment so it can be serviced for years, not just started up once. Honesty on the estimate is how we stay the reliable choice season after season.
Our 10-Year Workmanship Promise
If we install it, we stand behind the work. MD Air Conditioning and Heating honors workmanship for ten years on installations we perform. If a problem is caused by our workmanship during that period, we come back and make it right. This is our labor and installation workmanship — not a substitute for the manufacturer’s parts warranty on the equipment.
